Don't Forget the Baby Favor and Shower Gift!
No baby shower is complete without a baby favor and shower gift. Unfortunately, this simple token of appreciation is easy to overlook. But don't. While making plans for a baby shower, the person hosting the gathering should coordinate the details. That way everything's ready for the guest of honor to hand out as guests leave.
A baby favor and shower gift definitely won't bust even the tightest budget. The options are many and range from simple to elaborate, store-bought to handmade. With so much to choose from, it's easy to find something that matches either the theme or the general personalities of the party guests. Depending on the guest of honor, the baby favor and shower gift could even be a gag gift.
One baby favor and shower gift that's inexpensive and easy to make is a tulle sachet containing a few almonds. This is identical to what's commonly given to wedding guests except the material and contents won't be any shade of white. Instead, they'll be pink or blue or a color that coordinates with the baby shower theme. Simply cut 5"x5" inch squares of tulle, place 3 almonds in center, gather sides, and tie off with a coordinating piece of ribbon.
Another great idea for a baby favor and shower gift is decorative soap. Like you did with the almonds, you can wrap fragrant soaps in a piece of coordinating tulle and tie with ribbon. If you've got time, you could purchase a soap kit which would allow you to customize the soap. You could stick some sort of baby item inside before the soap hardens. Or you could make the soap a certain color.
Chocolate tucked inside a customized candy wrapping is a baby favor and shower gift everyone will enjoy. A personalized picture frame is another good choice. And so are baby figurines. It doesn't really matter what you choose because this time it's the thought that counts most.
